PDE-4 inhibitors may be taken with or without food. This medication decreases the number of COPD exacerbations by inhibiting the production of an enzyme (PDE-4) involved in inflammation.

The usual daily dose of Daliresp (roflumilast) is 500 mcg. This mediation is used in patients with chronic bronchitis. It is not used for relief of acute bronchospasm and is not recommended for use by people with certain liver problems.

PDE-4 Inhibitor Side Effects

Side effects of Daliresp include diarrhea, decreased weight, nausea, headache, back pain, dizziness, influenza, insomnia, decreased appetite. Call your doctor if you have unexplained or significant weight loss or experience mood-related changes such as anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts or trouble sleeping.
