Makes 16 brownies
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup coconut flour
1/2 tsp sea salt
1 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup melted coconut oil
4 eggs, at room temperature
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup dark chocolate chips
- Preheat the oven to 350ºF and line a 9-inch square baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, coconut flour, and salt to break up any clumps, then add the maple syrup, melted coconut oil, eggs, and vanilla. Whisk well to create a smooth, uniform batter and then stir in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula. Place in the oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until the center is firm.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting and serving. Store in an airtight container to prevent the brownies from drying out.
