If you crave a cigarette first thing in the morning, try to keep yourself busy when you wake up—prepare breakfast, take a shower, start the laundry, or tidy up the house. If your morning cup of coffee triggers a smoking craving, try substituting tea, milk, or juice for your usual cup.
