Dancing May Relieve Stress in Teens

If your teen is stressed out? (And whose isn't?!) It might be time to recommend hitting the dance floor.

A recent study in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that teenage girls in Sweden who took dance classes twice a week reported fewer stress-related symptoms—including persistent fatigue, anxiety, and being in low spirits—than girls who did not take dance.

The positive effects lasted during the study and for up to eight months after the dance classes had ended.
