Postoperative complications of bladder augmentation include urine leakage, continued incontinence, and kidney problems. Long-term risks include bladder stones, bladder cancer, and incontinence during and after pregnancy.
Possible adverse effects of sacral nerve stimulation include the following:
- Change in bowel function
- Infection
- Lead movement
- Pain at implant sites
- Unpleasant stimulation or sensation
